We will discuss the importance of risk mitigation, of coaching, of site selection, of defining roles, and of communication. Everyone will have the opportunity to practice skills, and to demonstrate their competency with both the systems as well as the approach. We hope that everyone will end the day being confident in their ability to safely support an adaptive athlete.

Home / Education / Run Clinics
Get ready for three unforgettable days on the Squamish trails. The run clinics/experiences are on sale and greater than ever, with educational clinics and community experiences designed for trail runners of all levels.
Run clinics are skill-building sessions led by Arc’teryx athletes and ambassadors. Designed to challenge you in a comfortable environment, these full-day sessions will build your confidence to take on whatever the trail throws your way.
Run experiences are all about connection, running together and spending meaningful time outdoors. From lush green forests to spectacular alpine views, you’ll explore the best of the Squamish trails alongside the local run community.
Discover the full lineup of athlete and ambassador-led clinics. From on-the-go photography to advanced scrambling clinics, there’s something new to learn at every level.
Boost your confidence and your leg muscles by diving into the exciting world of downhill trail running. We’ll kick things off on the trails, practicing smooth, efficient techniques that help you stay fast, stable, and fearless on descents. After dialing in your form on real terrain, we’ll head into the gym to reinforce those skills with targeted strength exercises designed to support powerful, confident downhill running.
This clinic is led by Arc'teryx Ambassdor Andrea Lawson, a kinesiologist/strength coach, trail runner, and owner of Balance In Motion, as well as the co-founder of Stronger Strides, a strength program designed specifically for runners. Her approach focuses on building strength, control, and movement efficiency to support both performance and injury resilience on the trails.
Perform targeted strength‑building exercises that develop the muscle power, stability, and control needed for safe and efficient downhill running.
How to position your body effectively and choose the best lines to maintain flow, balance, and control on varying terrain.
Use strategic foot placement techniques that enhance speed, efficiency, and confidence on steep descents.
We’ll do a big running and scrambling circuit on the Chief.
You’ll learn skills for scrambling and simple rock climbing (in those running shoes) with some specific tips to feel more confident on rock. We’ll also do a bunch of rappels so you get progressively more confident sliding back down those rocks.
Join us for a creative exploration up and down a local peak in Squamish, focusing on photography and storytelling. During the run, we'll discuss tips and tricks to level up your photography skills without breaking stride.
Throughout the run, learn how to compose and self-document your adventures with the perfect blend of artistry and efficiency. After the run, join the group for an editing and publishing session over food and drinks.
Fujifilm will have cameras available to borrow for the day. Please bring your own memory card if you would like to try out a camera.
We’ll head into the smoke bluffs as a bunch of runners in the morning and emerge in the afternoon as a bunch of runners who can kinda climb rocks.
This is for those who have never really gotten into rock climbing but want to do those “off piste” mountain adventures. We’ll cruise around the smoke bluffs and practice all the subtle skills of scrambling and climbing without all the exposure.
Run with the local trail community and share the energy of moving together outdoors. From welcoming group runs to longer days on the trail and an alpine experience, these moments offer space to learn, grow, and push a little further alongside others.
All run experiences are free — no cost to participate.
Arrive, exhale, and take in the alpine views.
Choose your own adventure to the top of the Sea to Sky Gondola, then settle into a relaxed recovery space with good vibes, comfortable seating, and refreshments. Get hands-on with Arc’teryx footwear, chat with fellow trail runners, and refuel while enjoying the views. Finish strong by entering to win a fresh pair of Arc’teryx shoes for your next ascent.
See you at the summit.
